As an admirer of director Hayao Miyazaki, Guillermo spoke on behalf of the New York Times critics group to explain Spirited Away’s position in the rankings: `In a moment when art moves you,
Released in 2001, with a revenue exceeding 289 million USD, it is not too difficult to understand why Spirited Away appeared on the list of movies of the century.
However, after being published, the New York Times rankings still received many mixed reactions.
Next, Alex Gibney, director of Taxi To The Dark Side, also expressed his opposition: `I do not agree with this list. Why can Spirited Away be ranked above Eastern Promises?`
